SNK Figures from 1993
If we could turn back the clock and bring what we know now to the past, besides the obvious, there are other things we wish we collected and one of those things are none other than SNK Figures. SNK Memorabilia in itself was difficult to find stateside, but they were somewhat plentiful in Japan and given the numerous toy and video game shops back in the day that did import them, we missed out on so much. Oh well, such is life, but at least someone out there was good enough to hang onto these. Yes, above you see some SNK Figures that was released way back in 1993 (and only in Japan for that matter). Who do you think this belongs to? A former SNK Employee, of course. Someone who did work in Torrance SNK Office. Lucky him, but it doesn’t stop there. He has another complete set of 6 others, still boxed. Yeah, nuts, but good for him. Check it out here:

Sanwa Denshi Co Ltd Pushbuttons to Debut at SCR2013 from Arcadeshock
IRVINE, CA – If you’re attending this year’s SCR 2013, happening January 18-20th, you will be in for a treat. With over 1500 gamers expected to compete for big cash prizes and awesome goodies, Arcadeshock will be there to unveil custom pushbuttons by Sanwa Denshi Co Ltd. There will be two exclusive unveilings, one will be the release of their new Silent Pushbuttons (this time they will be in their Clear Series – OBSC30 – originally, the silent buttons were only released in the SOLID Colors – OBSF30). The other purely customized for Arcadeshock, to debut at SCR2013 is what you see pictured above.
As you can see, these were produced just a week ago and is not part of their catalog, therefore the model numbers are hand written rather than printed because of the limited run. Stop by the Arcadeshock booth at SCR2013 to be the first to see and be able to purchase these buttons. These will be available in our online store after our attendance at SCR2013…if there’s any left.

Irvine, CA – This year, So Cal Regionals 2013 headed up by Level|Up will be a three day event happening MLK Weekend, January 18-20th, 2013 at UCI (same location as SCR 2011). With the tourney growing, or shall we say over growing to larger numbers, this year’s event needed the extra day to spread out the tournament to allow everyone breathing room (literally) and hold more events at the same time.
Being in the backyard of Arcadeshock, it was just natural for us to take part in the scene and show our support. NEO GEO X Gold Limited Edition Teaser Trailer
YOUMACON 2012 starts today
Detroit, MI – While some of us has been to your typical “CON” which showcases cosplay, comics and other entertainment all in one, YOUMACON 2012 adds the competitive fighting gaming scene that normally is held on it’s own. YOUMACON Battle Opera as they call it is supported by some by familiar names in the gaming industry such as Hori, Mad Catz and Level|Up. Held in Detroit, MI at COBO Hall, this tournament could easily be one of the larger fighting game events that is not affiliated with the rest of the fighting game tournament scene today, at least not yet. Best yet, there are bonus cash prizes for various games, such as SF IV AE, UMvC3 and KOF XIII. If you are in the area, definitely head over and compete or at least check it out.
We are sending our pro gamer, Arcadeshock Reynald to compete in KOF XIII and Persona as well to support the scene. Good luck to everyone competing.

ReveLAtions 2012 Tourney Aug 17-19, Santa Monica CA
Tournament Legacy once again is holding their annual Revelations tourney not only supports the fighting games we love, SF4AE, UMvC3, Persona 4, Tekken 6, MK9, Skullgirls and King of Fighters XIII, but backs it up with big cash pots for each one. If EVO is considered the finale of the tournament season, a new beginning is just right around the corner.
This year, it will be held in Santa Monica, CA, which is known for it’s incredible beaches and views and hope those who are not local wanting to go, that you have a friend you can bum a couch with because getting hotel in this area will frighten you. There’s always sleeping on the beach, right?
Once again, we will be sending our AS|Reynald to compete in KOF XIII where we know there will be some of the strongest KOF XIII players from So Cal to join him.
UPDATE 08/18/2012 11:00 AM: Lol. That is all we can say about their KOF XIII Pot Prize. Flash it in your face and back out. That is a knee slapper for sure. Yeah, they canceled the tournament because they either didn’t have the funds or didn’t feel it was worth giving out because of the low number of entries. Whatever the reason, having players waste their time and gas and more importantly, future support…is what they earned. Refunds will be coming in by the truckload and bye bye Tournament Legacy next year.
