HD Camcorder

hey guys, the wife and I are looking for a decent quality HD camcorder for the holidays. I have been looking around and the Kodak Zi8 looks pretty nice and the RCA EZ2110 seem really nice..but I dont really know.

The only huge con I have for it is that there is no optical zoom at all. It's all digital.

i dont know if that would matter to much. mainly just to record the kids.

If you want to zoom in, it'll get a bit grainy. I mean, it's a great camera for what it is; a cheap HD camcorder.
